Newsom has more than 30 years of experience in the power sector and has served in various roles at Mitsubishi Power for more than two decades, rising from service sales manager up the ranks to become president and CEO of Mitsubishi Power Americas in 2021. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Westinghouse Electric, Siemens Westinghouse Power and Calpine. He earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
